Connecticut RiverHawks Youth Hockey  

Player and Volunteer USAH Numbers

  • All players, coaches and volunteers are required to have a current USAH number to participate with our program. Volunteer numbers are free of charge but there is a fee for players and coaches.
  • Any participant over 18 years of age is also required to complete the Safe Sport Training. This includes players and volunteers.
  • Any volunteers will also require a background check completed every other year. 

PLAYER USAH NUMBERS

USAH NUMBER REGISTRATION:

  1. Log on to https://membership.usahockey.com/.
  2. Click on the REGISTER NOW button on the right side of the page.
  3. Select Ice Player / Coach as the registration type and simply follow the online instructions to complete your registration.
  4. Once you’ve completed the registration, you will receive an email with your player’s USA Hockey Confirmation Number.  

ENTER USAH NUMBER ON RH WEBSITE:

  1. Click on account in the top left corner of the website (Connecticut Riverhawks (gbjha.org).
  2. Click on the participant's name.
  3. Click on +ADD under "association" about halfway down the page.
  4. Pick USA Hockey from the drop down.
  5. Add the USAH number.
  6. Click ADD ASSOCIATION.

VOLUNTEER USAH NUMBERS

USAH NUMBER REGISTRATION:

  1. Log on to https://membership.usahockey.com/.
  2. Click on the REGISTER NOW button on the right side of the page.
  3. Select VOLUNTEER as the registration type and simply follow the online instructions to complete your registration.
  4. Once you’ve completed the registration, you will receive an email with yourUSA Hockey Confirmation Number. 

PROVIDE USAH NUMBER TO THE RIVERHAWKS:

  1. Submit your USAH number to the RiverHawks using the following google document: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScU3n2WXi8am8tjRpkG3Mn9xwOt-ozfPn1i6UYcadKwCj_g5w/viewform?usp=sf_link

BACKGROUND CHECK:

  1. A background check is required every other year at the cost of $30.
  2. https://www.usahockey.com/backgroundscreen
  3. Results will be visible to the organization once the background check is complete.

SAFESPORT TRAINING:

  1. SafeSport training needs to be completed annual. 
  2. https://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining 
  3. The first year and every other year thereafter, you will be required to complete a 90 minute course. 
  4. If completed the prior year, only a 30 minute refresher course needs to be taken.
  5. Once you login the system will tell you which course is required.
